HOME          FOR SALE      Breeding Contracts     2011 Foals   2012 Foals

UPDATE: SOLD

- Name? -
His name was 'Mr Dash For Perks' while I owned him.
His new owner changed his name to an odd name I can't remember how to spell.

This photo taken in May 2011.

2009 AQHA Black Stallion.  Stands over 15.2 hands as of May 2011.

Update: This young stallion has been sold.
I retained several breedings to him,
so look for his first foal to be born in 2012,
and more in the future.

This amazing young stallion is likely one of the best horses I'll EVER own!
He is super nice in every way.  When I bought him as a weanling... I had plans to send him to the track first and then have him trained for barrels.
But, my life has taken several turns in the last 2 years... and I am now unable to stick with my original plan.
This colt has been tested for Fertility, and he has great semen that cools Very well.
A test breeding with the semen also resulted in a Pregnancy.
He could go on to be a sire or be a gelding.  But, he is so exceptional...
I hope he remains a stallion.
His sire, the great DASH FOR PERKS, is gone, and this colt could be the next Great Sire...

His sire- Dash For Perks

Leading barrel sire Dash For Cash died earlier this year in Brazil.

Dash For Perks Dies In Brazil at 23

BRAZIL—APRIL 19, 2011—Dash For Perks, an American Quarter Horse racing sire and important sire in the barrel world died earlier this year at the age 23. He passed on February 1st, just days short of his 24th birthday, while standing the breeding season at LUB Breeding in Brazil.

At the time of his death the son of Dash For Cash out of the Easy Jet mare Perks was owned by Condominio Dash For Perks.

Bred in California by Meadow Creek Ranch, Dash For Perks stood briefly in New Mexico until the A.F. Stanley, Jr. of Ladybug Stallion Station purchased him in 1990 and moved him to Madill, Oklahoma where he would stand for 20 years. The Stanley family stood him at Oklahoma Stud in Purcell for a brief period. In 2010 Dash For Perks made his final move to Brazil to infuse their growing barrel industry with some of his top genetics.

Dash For Perks, a full brother to AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old Filly Cash Perks ($322,450.00), earned a 93 speed index and $25,814.00 on the track then went on to be a race sire of nearly $2 million and a barrel sire of over $1.6 million.

Dash For Perks has sired such race winners as Kansas Futurity(G1) winner Smoke N Sparks ($96,101.00) and 1999 Champion 2 Year Old of Oklahoma, Dash Del Rey. Dash For Perks was a cornerstone in the barrel industry for many years siring top horses including Lady Perks, Cash On Perks, Winning Perks, Fancy Man Perks, and many others.
